Boise IQ Approval Process

Our goal in screening professionals is to recommend only the most outstanding customer-service focused professionals in your local area. The Boise IQ Board has determined that any professional whom we recommend must first agree to operate by a code of conduct. In addition, Boise IQ has identified profession-specific criteria that must be met. You may view the code of conduct and other criteria below.

Boise IQ Code of Conduct

Always educate the client of the BEST options available, given the clients circumstances.
Never advise a client of an action that is not in the best interest of the client.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry in order to best serve and educate clients.
Return phone calls within 24 hours (not including weekends and holidays).
Maintain strictest confidentiality of client financials and anything else requested to remain confidential.
In addition to adherence to the above code of conduct, professionals must also qualify based on the profession-specific criteria listed below.

Lenders

The loan officer must be located in your state. There are several reasons why this is important. In addition to possessing greater knowledge of the loan programs available in your state, a local lender gives a personal touch that an out-of-state or even out-of-country call center cannot deliver. When you are making what is most likely the largest purchase of your life, the security of a face-to-face conversation and a handshake go a long way. Additionally, by keeping your business in state, you are supporting your local economy. As a homeowner, this is an important factor to consider as the local economy may indirectly affect the value of your home.
Five years experience working full-time as a loan officer. This requirement ensures that you will benefit from the expertise gained by someone who has years of experience. It is possible that the most well-intentioned loan officer with minimal experience may make a simple mistake that could end up costing you thousands of dollars. By choosing a Boise IQ-approved professional, you can feel confident this won't happen.
Better Business Bureau grade of B or higher. If Better Business Bureau has rated the lending company, it must have received a grade of B or higher on a scale from A+ to F. If the company has not been rated, a Boise IQ-review of similar criteria must be conducted and approved. This involves a thorough reference and background check involving the company’s most recent clients and customers.
Customer satisfaction rating of 95% or higher. We rely on you, the customer, to let us know how the loan officer and lending institution are doing. This is based on a report card we ask you to fill out upon completion of your experience with the lender.

Real Estate Agents

Five years experience working full-time as a real estate agent in your local market. This requirement ensures that you will benefit from the expertise gained by someone who has years of experience. An experienced agent will share wisdom throughout the process from choosing a home with good resale potential to negotiating the best price and reviewing details at the closing table that could cost you thousands.
Better Business Bureau grade of B or higher. If Better Business Bureau has rated the real estate company, it must have received a grade of B or higher on a scale from A+ to F. If the company has not been rated, a Boise IQ-review of similar criteria must be conducted and approved. This involves a thorough reference and background check involving the company’s most recent clients and customers.
Customer satisfaction rating of 95% or higher. We rely on you, the customer; to let us know how the agent and his/her company are doing. This is based on a report card we ask you to fill out upon completion of your experience with the agent.
